WELCOME TO CMCAAUP!
ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE:
The Colorado Mountain College Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (“CMCAAUP”) is a professional association of faculty (Full Time, Adjunct, Retired, and Librarians) whose primary purpose is to promote and protect faculty interests by sharing national standards and best practices as defined by AAUP, voicing support for colleagues who face arbitrary administrative actions and by supporting Faculty Senate as it represents faculty interests at CMC. Persons whose primary college duties are administrative but who also teach classes are eligible to be Associate Members of national AAUP. However, such persons are not eligible for membership in this chapter. But hey may attend meetings upon invitation.
WHO WE ARE NOT:
As an “advocacy” Chapter, CMCAAUP is not a collective bargaining “union.” Neither are we a rival to the CMC Faculty Senate—which we hope to engage in a supportive and collaborative relationship when possible. But we are also not subordinate to the CMC Faculty Senate.
